The President will speak on the subject of Iraq tonight at 7:00 pm EST. I know that MSNBC will be carrying it. If anyone can let us know who else will or will not be carrying the speech, it would be appreciated. Thanks!

If this speech is on his vision of Iraq after the liberation, it will be a "whether we're going in or not is a done deal", "finished", now here is what we want for post-Saddam Iraq. This will give time for all the whining, screaming, spinning, etc to cool down before we actually start bombing.

I think we'll attack mainly from the air for at least the first few days, so there there is no need for the 101st to be in place right away. Not necessarily. We may plan on using them and other forces to rush in to preserve the oilfields from destruction. You can't do that from the air. Another real possibility is to secure known chem/bio facilities so their contents cannot be hauled away.

Thanks for the link. Seems there's a dinner in honor of Allan H. Meltzer at AEI tonight. I imagine Bush is speaking at that dinner. Odd venue for a speech about Iraq.

I heard Rush talking about this myself. He didn't say anything of the sort. He hoped Bush would show pictures of the places we were, at that very moment, destroying.

Dubya's reached that stage on Iraq. If it's time to shoot, shoot. But stop talking about it...
I concur. It's past time for him to stop talking the talk until he's serious and ready to have us walk the walk.

Maybe he accepted the "debate" challenge. I know it's totally off the wall, but there might actually be some benefits to accepting it (for example, knowing exactly where Saddam is a a certain point in time---maybe we could watch him being taken out--live.)

Is this an address to the nation or anything big? I don't think so because it is at 7 p.m. eastern, 6 p.m. central...wouldn't a significant announcement probably be carried later in the evening?
