Don't go looking for him; this is a live thread, not a cut and paste smear job.

Do you know why Breaux is voting "no" ?
Because he's forcing another person to be present.

The Rats, listening to the clever leak through Carl Cameron that they would go home because of the snowstorm, did NOT sleep. I love it!

With Strom and Jesse now out of harms way, it appears that we can force Byrd and Hollings into a collapsing situationHey, no worries..., the SML is a heart surgeon and can perform CPR on Byrd to get him started again if he has too....

Why do the Dems have to make sure there is a quorum? Rules require them to be there so long as senate is in session and it will stay in session so long as anyone objects to an adjournment.

It's like it's the 1880's again! Back then, one of the strategies was to work the older Senators so hard they would collapse or die. With Strom and Jesse now out of harms way, it appears that we can force Byrd and Hollings into a collapsing situation. Hard ball: you wanted it, now you get to see it live on TV. This is great. Hope I don't collapse first.

The president was very forceful today in his support of Estrada. I think both sides are ready to go to the mat, but I think the RATs will blink. We need, what, four or five more of them to peel off and vote for cloture? That twit Landrieu may be the next to go down (figuratvely) because she promised (lied) during her campaign to support Estrada.

"Senator Frist also spends one night a week with no sleep so in case he has to go without sleep his is well practiced at getting no sleep! What an amazing man!

The Dem's don't, any Senator can ask for a quorum vote, and it has to be taken. If there is not a quorum of Senators present, a majority of those who are present can tell the SAA to round up the rest of the Senators.
**NOTE** The SAA does not round up only enough Senators to make a quorum, he must compel ALL Senators who have not been given leave to attend the rollcall.
