I wonder if Saddam struck a deal with N. Korea. The second the war starts in Iraq, N. Korea makes a move. Hope we're ready for them.

I think you're right. When we go against Iraq, NK makes a move against the South and China uses the regional instability to take Taiwan. This could be a real mess. We'll see soo enough.

This is just North Korea pouting. Next thing we know North Korea will leave from some damn fool International Treaty, try to hog up the headlines, only to recede away.

The deal was probably sealed with several billion in cash. I tend to think it was oil and not cash. Jordan gets cheap or free oil from Saddam as well.

China uses the regional instability to take Taiwan They have to take the straight before they can take Taiwan. They don't have the seafaring capability to do either, yet.

What if the N. Koreans had a war, and nobody came?

Just for discussion: how does a citizen prepare for war?
To: expatguy
Perhaps, but he's also on record giving large sums of cash to other countries i.e. French to build nuclear reactors. etc.

Whaaaaat? You mean they are going to go it alone? :-( :-( :-( They are not going to wait for international? Have they all ready called Hollywood to ask for permission? Are France and Germany OK with this? Don't we deserve a second chance? Where are the North Korean inspectors? Where are the clowns? There ought to be clowns!
To: cmsgop
I'm mainly hoping my new contrabass strings arrive before the war. What they should do in N Kor to prepare is a total mystery.
