There are the people that even if the wealth was taken from those that earned it and given to those who did'nt would still be broke in a few months. Where would they then get their next handout. My husband's niece was hurt in an accident and got a $60,000 settlement. They bought 2 new cars with most of this and within 3 months called us wanting to sell the cars & to borrow money because they did'nt have money for food for the kids. They are supposedly "poor" but have every new video & CD.

Dick Gephardts brand of politics reaches only a small portion of Americans, those disposed to socialistic brotherhoods such as unions or singleness of purpose and that is as far as his vision goes. His rant is as old and goes as far back as history takes us those who succeed and those who dont. That may be fine for the union boss but what about the nation? Are we all to be part of some local or another? Are we all expected to follow some union rule; do we all expect to be told for whom to vote; expect the government to pay our way through out our productive years? I dont think so. I would like to think I could earn without prejudice, the same or better amount of money that Mr. Gephardt enjoys.
