Hard to picture Annette and Brian Wilson working on a record together. Was this before or after she did "My heart's whirlin' -- I'm the girl in -- love with Merlin Jones"?

I don't remember which picture came first, but the 'monkey's uncle' is Merlin. The song is at the very beginnning of the film and you get to see Annette and the Beach Boys on stage at a coffee house. It's really funny to see the look on Dennis Wilson's face. My guess... he's high.
