I remember Paula Cole.
I used to have respect for her and I even enjoyed a couple of her songs.
But if those verses are for real, I think she is a contemptible pig.

As far as her "working three jobs" and "living hand to mouth", whew, she really feel hard. Although the "living hand to mouth" part doesn't necessarily surprise me. She had the kind of face that said, "As soon as I get married, I'm ballooning, baby!"

And even with all the fraud in Philly, Detroit, St. Louis, New York, Wisconsin, Florida, etc., Bush STILL had a million vote lead going into California (home of the illegal-alien voter cards courtesy of President Caligula, and the poll-to-poll bus trips organized by Maxine Waters).

-This was without a national recount (running the ballots through the machines again).
-This was without counting all of the absentee votes (the wait could have been 2 weeks and some states were not in contention so they certified results before all absentee ballots were tallied).
-This was without rejecting the fraudulent ballots cast by illegal voters, repeat voters, and voters registered in multiple states.

I wouldn't be bragging that I won a popularity contest with those kind of factors.

Well Bush did get the victory of the night. I doubt that there were this many "didn't win" protest signs this long after the other electoral/popular vote mismatches.

If all we used was the popular vote, then we would have had to recount votes in every county/every state to determine the winner. Imagine what a mess that would have been. Concentrating the tally to "electoral votes" allows for precision recounts in just the states in contention. Several states were in contention after Nov 2000, not just Florida.
