This is the same has-been who had the one hit wonder, "Where Have All The Cowboys Gone" and complained when a magazine photo editor airbrushed out her hairy armpits (No, I am
NOT making this up.).
Make of this what you will.

I created this separate thread so others would know about this "masterpiece."

More deletions in the CD collection ping.
Dang, must we throw out everything except Faith Hill?

1. Where's the barf alert?
2. Don't folks get enough of this junk by visiting DU?
3. Is this really a good use of FR space?

Like you said, she's a one-hit wonder. This song is just cashing in on her non-career.
It's also hard to take a woman who was discovered by lesbian Melissa Etheridge.
To: Houmatt
Okay.
Here are the lyrics, corrected:
Well hello there, blue blood boy Your bed is lined with dollars I bet you're cumming oil I love the way you take control and push the world around United Nations- Ha,ha No one can keep you down Daddy's little helper, silver foot in your mouth Policeman of the world gonna start another war Connecticut yankee in a cowboy hat You're my hero, Mr. president Remember the elections for the presidency No matter the call of the majority Your cousin married Fox TV, he declared you were the one Your brother came through with his promise he'd get Florida (Chorus) Now what you gonna do about our economy You spend three trillion dollars in a heartbeat Now what about us folks who live hand to mouth We can't afford our lives, and we're working three jobs (chorus) Now Don't you want your grand children to see the colorado river? You're kissing so much corporate ass that You're selling away our future We can all wear our geo-thermal suits and toast to you 'W' Now wiping out the terrorists, that's fine by me But please don't errode our civil liberties The America we fight for and hold so dear Includes a woman's right to choose Freedom of religion, freedom of assembly And free speech like the song I'm singing here (chorus) Daddy's little helper, silver spoon in your mouth The Policeman of the world gonna kick Hussein's butt Connecticut yankee in a cowboy hat You're my hero, Mr. President You're my hero, Mr. President You're our Nero, Mr. President Mmmhmm

She also only wears black boots. She wrote a song about it on her first cd. They aren't awful looking too. They remind me of Dock Martins, or maybe they are Dock Martins.

It's nice when somebody who I thought sucked all along gives me a new reason not to buy their product.
I mean, it's a pain in the ass when it's somebody whose output you actually like (like Ed Harris or Coldplay).
But even before hearing her lame, liberal-lockstep politics, I always thought this chick talentless (and gruesome to boot.)

Do you believe her little tale that this song was written for a "pro-choice" concert?
Doesn't seem to address the abortion issue at all.

"This song can be heard by hitting the above link, then scrolling down to 1/30/03."No thanks, I'd rather not. I remember that song 'Where Have all the Cowboys Gone'...the tune was ok, but the lyrics were rather bitter. All in all it wasn't a bad song. I hope THIS piece of garbage isn't a hit for her.
I guess she's with the 'it wasn't hip' to protest Clinton's wars, but it IS 'hip' to protest President Bush crowd. More shallowness from the 'nothing says peace like diamonds' club.

Oh wait, there it is, towards the end.
I couldn't find the lyrics initially, downloaded the song, and tuned out by that point.

Still can't get over the 2000 election, can she? As the Clinton fans said (and bought the website name): MOVE ON!

Did you by chance also catch her reference to Michael Moore in her post from 2-24?
Another reason to say, "ecch!"

Too bad she didn't get this out a few months ago. It would have made her a hero and her album(s) would have received Grammy awards.
Steve Earle wrote a song paying homage to traitor John Lindh and suddenly Earle is on the top 100 artists on various music sites.

Dear Paula,
I am so sorry that you feel justified in singing a false song about our Commander in Chief. But at least you'll have something to hum while making beads from Yak dung in Katmandu. Remember to dress warm.
Sincerely yours,
Cate ( A strong supporter of President Bush's)

In 1998, Cole won the Grammy for Best New Artist, despite the fact that she released her debut album in 1994 and therefore was technically ineligible. Interesting tidbit about Paula on Allmusic.com
Anyone want to bet Cole will be back at the Grammys next year thanks to her new song?
