You've visited their Web sites -- DrudgeReport.com; NewsMax.com; WorldNetDaily.com; FreeRepublic.com; FrontPageMagazine.com and many more. These are the Web sites of the New Underground. And this is the tale of the cyberjournalists who built them -- the brave men and women who bring you the news Big Media doesn't want you to know.

Learn how these modern-day Tom Paines and Ben Franklins mastered a new technology, the Internet; how they built a New Media from the ground floor; defied an outlaw White House; endured government repression; and exposed unspeakable treason at the pinnacle of power -- treason that led directly to the slaughter of 9-11.

Learn how these cyber-patriots continue defining the cutting edge of New Media in the age of broadband and the blogosphere.

Here is the inside story of the Web sites and cyberjournalists who helped change history, a tale of courage, sacrifice, ingenuity and patriotism -- one of the greatest untold stories in the annals of journalism.

Pre-sales of The New Underground: How Conservatives Conquered the Internet by Richard Poe are now available from Amazon.com.

DU is still around?

I was considering challenging one of their better cyberpundits to co-host my Radio FreeRepublic show, sort of a Hannity and Commie thing, so I lurked DU for a while to see if I could find a candidate sufficiently intelligent to discuss the issues, but it was like trying to find a virgin in a house of ill repute.
