BBC ^ | 24 February, 2003

Posted on 02/24/2003 2:04:56 PM PST by Mossad1967

The UK Government has spelled out the timetable likely to lead to war against Saddam Hussein. In the clearest terms so far expressed, the prime minister's official spokesman said there would be a "window" for Iraq to fall in line between now and a vote on a new United Nations resolution.

And in a government motion to be put before MPs Iraq is also urged to recognise it is facing its "final opportunity" to disarm itself of its weapons of mass destruction...

You're silly. This war is gonna happen in a few weeks.

Dream on. The penny still hasn't dropped for you, has it?

"Why did Bush, or his proxies, say "weeks not months" months ago?"

Condi said "weeks not months" 2 weeks ago Sunday the 14th.
8 weeks is still "weeks" and not "months." that leaves 6 weeks yet. Patience. Dubya said he will go in with or without a UN resolution. He said that before the first resolution back in Nov. When you get elected President you can choose when to start killing people. Until that time your opinion is worth what you are paid for it.

"Dream on. The penny still hasn't dropped for you, has it?"

That is very convincing.
You have refuted, with great skill, everything I had written.
There is no need for you to respond further...I believe I understand your argument fully.

agree, just trying to figure out what the heck is going on?

We are facing what Israel faces. Israel could make a "regime change" within the PLO at any time but they, like us, must bleed sufficiently for the "world" to accept it. Life is not fair.

Saddam has a month before we attack!.

Okay, he has another month!

But wait, we will give him another month.

We forgot, we meant he has still another month left.

Well it's too hot now, we will wait til Fall. Saddam gets 6 months.

Troops are low in morale, send them home. Saddam gets another year

Saddam tests nuclear weapon. Aww, just forget it, we were just kidding about Saddam.

U.S. markets collapse, dollar fizzles, riots break out, mass food shortages.

Lesson of the Day: Say what you mean or shut up.

oh really ... the great Reagan cut and ran in Lebanon.

So far Bush hsa held firm for 6 months, with the world slowest possible "rush to war" to give every ally the opportunity to see the obvious and join.

Many are failing the test of friendship and vision. So be it. Bush wont fail it.

BigTime ... no, there is no grand 'strategy' other than Bush's simple statement that the UN must act or we will, alone if necessary.

The Democrats and France "missed an opportunity to be quiet" and have shown how irresponsible they are.

there is nothing Bush can do about that. but it wont stop him from disarming Iraq by force.

because Bush is trying to force resolution by the UN.

We are now there. All we need is for the resolution to pass - or not - and we go in.

Be patient folks!

You've got to make a fist and draw back, before you can throw the blow....

With a little more time, we will be ready.
The U.N. will have cut their own throats.
France and Germany will be too far out on the limb to climb back.
It will be clear who is friend and who is foe..
The democrats and other Marxists will have been exposed for all to see.

The Left's worse nightmare will come true - in early March.

Until that time your opinion is worth what you are paid for it.

Can I offer the services of the Re-Write™ Machine?

Until that time your opinion is worth what you are paid for it $0.02 unless you're working for the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Secretaries of Defense or State, or the National Security Council.
Remember, Rather/Jennings/Brokaw/Leno/et al are paid a lot for their opinions, but that doesn't make them worth any more than 2 cents.
