This is principled and courageous. What's discriminatory is the French and German view that they know best about everything for everyone else when they cannot even defend themselves from fascism within their own countries and on their own continent. Neither is either country economically vibrant at the moment, yet their governemnts are weighing in w/criticism of US economic and tax policy.
Somehow, it is seen as courageous to *stand up to America* and ill-mannered, at the least, to reject German and French uninformed and self-serving opinion. Here is a European *standing up* to the bullies of Europe. I say:"Bravo".
You want to stand by the coalition of the willing, all you have to do is organize against your leaders and vote them out of office. Show us how to obtain that vaunted and mature Euro consensus.
It really doesn't matter how many French visit his business, but it does sound likely he has German customers in the summer.
And it sounds like he has made his point.

So you saw them spit on the food, did you? Or are you just assuming? It just tasted like they spat in it. And, the price was so high it must have been double because the smelly French people that were at the other tables couldn't possibly afford what we paid.
I see you haven't lightened up yet.
And, if I avoided food cooked by Black people I could only eat at home.

This is really good grass roots PR. We are people giving from our hearts and this shot might be heard around the world. Even the Dems might hear it. We need to send FR URL too. Someone with a FR calling card maybe.

It is childish. Germans and French have a problem when their firms deliver material to Iraq illegally. And the governments strictly oppose that.
It is NOT childish; what IS childish is the 'old European' clan continuing to stick their heads in the sand like Ostriches. Chirac and Schroeder need to get it out, get it up....but they do NOT have the balls...perhaps there are some incriminating invoices and shipping/receiving records laying around Baghad? Nein?

Maybe we could call him at like 6pm and buy pizza and beer for whoever's in the place by credit card.

Besides a postcard, I will be sending him an American Flag lapel pin attached to the postcard. I have bought several since 9/11. I will buy a tourist card show a local something. Then in big letters, I will thank him!
He could have a wall of postcard showing where we are from with an American Flag pin in the postcard.

It is so good to see a story such as this coming from the land of my grandparents. LONG LIVE DENMARK!!!!!
To: RobFromGa
If we took a tourist card from our home area, attached a small American Flag Lapel Pin and wrote; Thank You Sir and signed it. Then we put all of this into an envelope and mailed it to this gentleman, he could have thousands of great postcard from all over America with all types pins.
He would have a wall that would say thank you as long as his restaurant was open.
When his name and address are comfirmed, please post it as a new post and ping us so that we can respond how we want to.

Hopefully, the gentleman's principled stand for civilized Western values will not cost him too dearly.
I've noticed before that, in similar circumstances, other businesses have done fine despite turning away some business deliberately.
To: RobFromGa
I went to send the url to Rush & Neal Boortz to get them to maybe help publicize this great person...
This is a terrific idea. Don't forget Paul Harvey. Maybe even more than the others, Harvey has a lot of the remaining WW II vets listening to him.
