How about this...

Dear Sir,

Enclosed you will find $$$ to offset the business you are losing in your stand/boycott against the Germans/French.

Thank you from a grateful American!

Signed..

XXX

No it's principled. Unlike the selling of components to Iraq necessary for the fabrication of WMD which the French and Germans don't have a problem doing. Aage Bjerre is choosing principle over money whereas the French and Germans are choosing money over principle. Aage Bjerre has discriminating taste. Bravo Zulu to him.

Bravo to your post!

he's tired of French and German attitudes toward the United States, calling them "disloyal" and "anti-American" in their bid to thwart a possible U.S.-led attack against Iraq.

They are frenchlings.

It is childish. Germans and French have a problem when their firms deliver material to Iraq illegally. And the governments strictly oppose that. In fact, these criminals will be prosecuted, attorneys are investigating already.
Some of these businessmen were convicted some weeks ago.

I'm not sure if you are serious, but...

I plan to thank him for supporting America at this important time in world history. We appreciate all of our friends who are behind us in our fight. I also plan to tell him that anyone who hates the French is OK in my book. And, I plan to tell him that I would like to buy him dinner if he ever gets to Atlanta.
That'll fill up the postcard, which has an American plag on the picture side.

Dog's suggestion is excellent too, I would imagine crisp American dollars would be a beautiful sight for any pro-American Dane.

What would be something good to write on a letter to him.

Just write from your heart. Something like:

Thank you for standing with the US in our time of need. I will pray for you and for your country.

One poster (Robfrom GA in #35) suggested sending him patriotic postcards, which he could then post in his shop.

It seems to be him, I assume you'd have to add Denmark to the address. I think I'd wait, I'm sure someone on the thread can verify it, maybe call.

This is irrational and childish. He´s (at least verbally) discriminating those French and Germans who´d like to stand with the "coalition of the willing". And I doubt that many French of Germans travelled to that island to buy his pizzas... :-)

I respectfully disagree. I bet if a German wore an American flag somewhere on their clothing they would be served a pizza. I don't think any of them will starve but I am glad that there are individuals who stand with the United States and have the courage to protest Germany and France in Denmark or anywhere else in Europe (or California)

He is being stupid. Imagine the outrage if he put up a "no Israelis" or "no Blacks" sign. If he feels so strongly about it he should put up a "No French or Germans who agree with their government policies" sign.

Blaming a race for the actions of their government is idiotic.

I never knew that French or German was a race.

Really, you should lighten up. If you have ever been to a French restaraunt, then you know they spit on the food served to Americans and charge us twice as much from the English menu. I'd rather they didn't serve us at all.

And the governments strictly oppose that.

I haven't heard either Chiraq or Schroeder state that publicly. Quite the contrary. The German and French governments have looked the other way for 12 years. The French were tipping off the Iraqis as to what sites the UN inspectors were heading to before the fact back in the 90s. Once the dust settles and France and Germany are exposed, the whole world will be able to see how "strict" that opposition, that you claim exists, has been.

Maybe a good idea for the UK?

Are you serious?
In the U.S. or England this would be excoriated as a hate crime; You and I know it is simply expressing a personal opinion.

I remember when one could do this in the U.S. I didn't realize how valuable that choice was, at the time. It seemed, however like a noncontroversial personal choice.

I never knew that French or German was a race.

So you would have no objections and would not consider it racist if someone put up a "no Israelis" flag, considering that Israeli is not a race?

Really, you should lighten up. If you have ever been to a French restaraunt, then you know they spit on the food served to Americans and charge us twice as much from the English menu. I'd rather they didn't serve us at all.

So you saw them spit on the food, did you? Or are you just assuming?

I have eaten in many French restaurants and have never experienced to my knowledge spat in food or food doubled in price.

Jesse Jackson admitted spitting in whites' food. I guess that means you should avoid food cooked by blacks, since they spit in it.
