You don't think saddam doesn't know he's being targeted?
Say what you will about this scumbag but don't for a minute that he's stupid.

"Special "hunter-killer teams and aircraft would target Iraqi strongman Saddam Hussein - and his two evil sons..."
Gotta leavew the TV off when I'm at the comp - first image that came to mind was the Simpsons episode "Whacking Day" where it's open season on snakes !

Where URL = http://www.industrialdeathrock.com/gallery/pixzip/paxsolaris/10449132721.jpg in your case.
Note also there should not be any spaces between < and img, and between " and >. I put those spaces so that you can see the html coding.

George Clooney is Uday Hussein.
To: kattracks
Saddam?s eldest son, Uday, is said to command Iraq?s vicious paramilitary groups in charge of sabotaging infrastructure, such as bridges, and committing atrocities against their country?s own civilians to blame on the United States. I've been wondering about this ever since our wonderful (/) Hollywood celebs have been saying they are going over to Iraq to act as human shields. I wouldn't put it past sadam to kill at least some of these people and say the US did it. I'm just waiting!

Nic, it was two of his son in laws. They defected to Jordan, got a chilly reception there and then returned when Saddam said all was well.
Apparently Jordan and the CIA found that they were thuggish fools and didn't have any worthwhile information of their own. Saddam was scared of their defection and launched a pre-emptive strike by unveiling a great deal of WMD data said to be their fault. It was a real breakthrough for the weapons inspectors.
Tree, as noted elsewhere, it was a revenge killing, not done by Saddam. It was one of the few successful attacks against the regime. In particular, the plotters thought about attacking Saddam and figured out it was impossible. Uday's infamous partying and carousing made him an easy victim.

The announcement Tuesday that he had put his wife under house arrest was yet another indication that things are not going smoothly. Iraqi dissidents say Saddam has moved against her, because she opposed his plan to forgive the killers of his two sons-in-law. From a link on the same page.

Reagan was working to free the hostages before he was ever inaugurated. This included sending riddles to the Iranian government. The one I remember went something like,
What glows red hot and is flat as a pancake? Answer: Tehran five minutes after Reagan's inauguration. And as others have pointed out, the hostages were released while he was being sworn in.

Note the gun tucked in Uday's waist.I thought one of these sons was now in a wheelchair as a result of an attempt on his life. I don't remember which one.

I thought only movie actors, ala Steven Seagal, jammed their gun in their waste. That always struck me as astonishingly stupid, given that very sensitive parts are in that area.

weren't the hostages released just prior to Reagan's inaugeration? They were released at almost the moment of his inauguration. I think the Iranian govt. knew it could not toy with Reagan as they had with Carter, and there weren't going to give Carter the satisfaction of the hostages having been released while he was still President.

This crew makes the Sopranos actually seem like Andy Griffith! No doubt. It just felt good to make fun of him by calling him Barney Fife. ;-)

I wish the Israelis could take part.
Me too. They are professionals when it comes to kicking arse and taking names.

Shoot to wound, then snatch 'em out and into the waiting arms of the USMC on the nearest helo carrier.....
