Dear Salon,
You might consider getting into talk radio. You'd be GREAT! Sink millions into it. You'd make your money back in no time!

Regards,
TE

Sounds like the board of Salon.com needs its blood pressure raised. I'm surprised it still has a pulse.

How pathetic. Reminds me of a bit from the old "Laugh-In" show...

Dan Rowan: Dick, do you realize that millions and millions of people are watching you at this very minute? What do you have to say to that?

Dick Martin: If each and every one of you could just send in one dollar...

Dan Rowan: You can't say that! It's illegal!

Dick Martin: How about a dime?

If every one of our 53,000 subscribers brings in just ONE additional subscription, Salon will finally break even this year

Or, to reparaphrase "If we grow our subscriber base by 100% in the next few weeks, we'll break even for the year."

Liberals, here's your chance. Double mortgage your homes, cash in your kid's college money, sell your car ... throw all of your money into this dying cause.

Isn't it funny that FOX is now #1, yet they didn't exist in the market 5 years ago. Rush, Hannity, Savage and others EARNED their way into talk radio. Liberals have to buy their way in.

Salon gets more traffic than Rush or FR? Am I reading the chart correctly? That's surprising.

A gentleman named David Owens jauntily greets us with, "Hey d---ks----rs! I just read you can't pay your rent.

Since when did they start editing out foul language at Salon?

Last reports have Salon being able to last the end of this week, then the money is gone. Of course every time I get ready to celebrate their demise, some liberal with more money than sense throws a huge wad of cash down the hole that is Salon at the 11th hour. That's why they've been able to live so long.

For the cost of a case of Iron City Beer you can be a major stock owner of Salon.

Love your handle! I was watching "The Manchurian Candidate" last night on cable TV and every time Angela Lansbury's character appeared, showing that "Red Queen" card to the brainwashed son, I kept thinking, "Hillary..."

Take a look at the numbers on the left side of the graph. It is backward from most graphs, the numbers at the top are the lowest. I thought the same thing at first.

Yes, Salon has enjoyed pretty good traffic. But it's been declining for the last year or so while FreeRepublic.com and RushLimbaugh.com are gaining.

Gee...I think we should all chip in and buy a subscription!

(just remembering how theoretically Rush would have nothing to talk about once the lib.'s were out of power...seems then the demise of Salon would be what raises Rush's blood pressure?!)

BWA-HAHAHA-HA!

The number is the ranking. Number 1 being the best.

They are publically traded, but ironically they are only traded on the Pink Sheet. They bleed red in their editorials, and on their Balance Sheet.

They are down to 3.5 cents per share. They were at $15 bucks a share. They are losing money every quarter and cannot generate cash that can offset quarterly expenses. They are toast. They may hang on clinging to life by making deals with the devil, but the end is near and inevitable.

Lets not forget this.

Currently trading at $0.035. A half million bucks buys the whole operation.
