5000 LAWN SIGNS AND BUMPER STICKERS SUPPORTING
AMERICAN TROOPS IN THE MIDDLE EAST TO BE DISTRIBUTED
AT THE MINNESOTA STATE CAPITOL SATURDAY,
FEBRUARY 22nd FROM 2:00 PM UNTIL THEY ARE GONE

Eagan, Minnesota residents Joe & Deb Repya announced today that they will be distributing 5,000 lawn signs and 5,000 bumper stickers supporting our troops this Saturday, February 22nd, 2003.

Distribution begins at 2:00 PM and will continue until the signs are gone. They are asking for a five-dollar donation per sign to cover printing costs. A one-dollar donation per bumper sticker is suggested.

"The LIBERATE IRAQ - SUPPORT OUR TROOPS sign sends the right message to our troops and hopefully to the Iraqi regime that Americans are solidly behind our service people and our President." Joe Repya said.

Joe Repya is a retired US Army Reserve Lieutenant Colonel who served in Vietnam and the Persian Gulf War. This grass roots sign effort began on February 7th, 2003 by distributing 250 signs. Response has been so overwhelming that by the end of this coming weekend over 7,000 LIBERATE IRAQ - SUPPORT OUR TROOPS signs will have been distributed in Minnesota. The "SAY NO TO WAR" people claim to have distributed 6,500 signs in about 5 months.

A couple of the guys that were working at the stand are Freepers, or know of Free Republic.

There was at least person who bought a sign, and made modifications to the sign. It read Liberate the US. I decided to grab a sign and Freep him. I stood up the street from him; he got in his car took off. Had to be the shortest freep I’ve done.

I don't know if anyone else has notice this but when ever I see pictures of pro-American suppporters they are always smiling and happy. Compared to the anti-war protestors who look like they have a two by four shoved up their posterior.

Can somebody out there manufacture the "companion piece" to these wonderful signs?

It would on simple white, with the black bold words, centered: "COALITION OF THE WILLING".

Above center (over and between the "of" and "the") would be a slightly larger American flag.

Then, to the left and right of the American flag, going down both sides, and then along the bottom, all along the edge, the (slightly smaller) national flags of all of the countries that are signed up for this effort in terms of supporting us on Iraqi Disarmament and Liberation, or not opposing, or promising financial aid.

I think the more we get signage out in Grassroots America that dispells the traitorous International A.N.S.W.E.R. and lib media spin that "America is alone on this" or that this is "unilateral", the better our case will be in the minds of our average American citizens (some who are still a bit confused or timid).
