For illegal aliens, lawyer Javier Lopera offered an enticing promise: permanent residency.
But those promises were false, said the federal authorities who arrested Lopera on Thursday. In approximately 1,500 cases since July, they said, he lied to officials of the Immigration and Naturalization Service as well as his clients.
Lopera, 36, was indicted Thursday by a federal grand jury in Miami on 11 counts of conspiring to make false representations in INS petitions. He faces up to 10 years in prison on each charge, along with a $250,000 fine.

One down, 449,999 to go. If you want to see how these immigration lawyers communicate with each other on how to "help" their illegal clients, subscribe to Immigration Daily. It's a real eye opener.
It disgusts me to know that I breathe the same air as Lopera and others of his ilk.

...and let's pray they go after every "client" this crooked bird represented too, since most are assuredly here illegally.

(Why are Liberal female media types always ugly to boot?)
His clients might have acted in good faith, it sounds like this crooked lawyer was lying to them telling they could obtain legal status when they weren't entitled to it ---but how would they know?

Our sup subscribes and sends us tidbits of the crap they spew. I always tell the Immigrants that I deal with to stay away from lawyers, they only want your money.
