The meeting was controversial within the White House even before it took place. The group that included Al-Arian was scheduled to be briefed by Vice President Cheney, but Cheney canceled. That morning, the Jerusalem Post had run a front-page article headlined, "Cheney to host pro-terrorist Muslim group."
(see below - ST)
Several pro-Israel and conservative activists had warned administration officials not to meet with the American Muslim Council contingent because the group had courted controversy for years, knowledgeable sources said.
Abduraham Alamoudi, a member of the organization also at the meeting with Rove, said at a White House demonstration in October 2000, "We are all supporters of Hamas," the popular name of the Islamic Resistance Movement, a main sponsor of suicide bombings in Israel.
Rove, according to Al-Arian and other attendees, used the meeting to talk of White House efforts to embrace the Muslim community. Al-Arian said he sat in the front row.

Perhaps focusing the attention a bit would be more persuasive than the shotgun approach.

That would of been the best way. Now so many are writing stories that its hard to keep up with it. I do hear there is one coming that is going to slam GN but GOOD!

Thanks for the revealing reply.

It's hard to know where to focus my attention.
Let suggest: that the penetration of the political process by apologists, sympathizers, supporters, and co-conspirators of terrorism, in both major parties.
In the case of the Republicans, Grover Norquist is the place to start.

Grover Norquist must be purged from the conservative movement. Ostracized. He is unapologetic in his support for radical muslims. He is now in the enemy camp.

The Muslim terr's are conservative in many ways -- family values, sexual mores, respect for accounting of monies spent, respect for the chain of authority. In the most recently released statement attribute to Usama Bin Laden, he rants at socialists and socialism.
But there is ONE big difference -- it must ever be kept in mind. And no it's not "allah the moon g-d" versus the One True God.
That difference is why you have them joining up with US white trash like Tim McVeigh, why they are recruiting the Black Muslims and teh prison-generated 5%'ers.
One word says it: "HATE".
The Muslim Terrorist's religious teachings (not all Muslims suscribe to them either -- Shiite, Druze, Bedouin, Sufi, Bogomil, etc are more or less distant from them) all idolatrize HATE.

not just to you but to many of the posters -- you all sound very silly... reading these posts is like watching one of those documentaries about the murder of President Kennedy -- so and so knew such and such who was later reportedly implicated in events that might be tied to... lots of innuendo and little proof of anything other than that Norquist thinks Muslims ought to have a place at the table under the GOP tent and he has helped the leaders of some of their groups get into meetings with more than 100 people and that other people think this is terrorism... no one has been able to demonstrate that any of this resulted in a terrorist act or that this money that supposedly changed hands among U.S. groups paid for anything illegal .
Just my two cents.

Am I the only one who finds it funny that the only muslim GWB could find turned out to be a terrorist? What does that tell us about the terrorist density among the muslim population today? If you can throw a stick and hit an "Osama-loving-sycophant", islam, as a political institution has *real* problems.
I believe it's even worse than many of us here probably expect. Some Muslim elementary schoolchildren in Brooklyn actually knew what was going to happen on 9/11 ahead of time. This incredible story briefly got some attention back several months ago and has pretty much been buried since then.
