If I came off like I hated the guy I am sorry. He has done some great things, example helping Poland escape communism, but I just don't see him doing that kind anymore.

You are correct about Poland.

I think this Pope will go down in history as a fence-mender. (At least with the other branches of the Catholic faith.) But basically throughout the entire world. Think of his travels.

Admittedly some people disicount this and say the Pope might have been home minding the sexual upheaval within the Catholic Church. It is an arguable point.
