You're right. Raters on Amazon are giving them five stars. This man is apparently extremely talented. He is also a naturalized US citizen--he's originally from England and his parents were anthropologists, so he spent some childhood years in Africa. A very interesting and talented man all the way around. His son has a web site and really salutes his father--says he found time to spend with him, even though he traveled a lot for professional events.
Yes, I agree we should buy his books. I guess when I said I thought we should support him, I meant buying his books, but also morally support him. I'm not much of one to buy poetry books, but I will definitely check this guy's books out.
In case you didn't know about it, there's now a website with a collection of poems by sensible poets called Poets for the War. A good friend of mine has a poem there.
