When I was on the USS John F Kennedy CVA-67, we pulled into several Mediterranean cities for port calls. For the most part the people still remembered the US sacrifices on French soil and treated us well. The socialist government on the other hand...

If that's true, Someone needs to be HUNG! And it also means someone is extremely "cozy" with Saddam.

Blood, I hate to break the news to you, but this present gov't in Paris is from the RIGHT side of the political spectrum. If the Socialists were in power now, it would probably be even worse!!!

The Sun is way cool. Rub it in, rub it in....

Referring to the special Sun, he admitted: “It is well known that the French lack a sense of humour and can’t laugh at each other let alone have someone else laugh at them. If there is one good thing that has come out of this front page it is that the English know how to have a joke.”

DUBAI, Nov 2 (AFP) - An envoy of French President Jacques Chirac has been secretly shuttling to Baghdad in recent months in a bid to persuade Iraqi President Saddam Hussein to soften his domestic and foreign policies and avert a US strike, a pan-Arab newspaper reported Saturday.

bump

Priceless. I'd been looking for this since I heard about it on Fox News. I'm starting to wonder just how much support the U.S. might have in France or Germany among ordinary people. Almost certainly a minority but it might be larger than we think among ordinary people.

"Chirac Is A Worm"

I don't think it would be much worse. The socialists are in general far more supportive of evil dictatorships, but Chiraq and Saddam have a personal relationship that's unmatched by most world leaders (it's stronger than Bush's relationship with Tony Blair).
