Red Dawn was the most inspiring movies of the last 50 years. It made you laugh. It made you cry. It should be mandatory viewing in every public high school.

I love to Sir with Love. I also liked Sydney Portier in Guess Who's Coming to Dinner.

"Army of Darkness" You know, I just saw that again over the holiday weekend with a friend, along with "Evil Dead II" (which is the prequel), and while AoD is a good movie, Evil Dead II is just SO MUCH BETTER!
Hard to believe that Sam Raimi directed those, as well as the Spiderman movies, huh?

It's A Wonderful LifeThats the next one Ill buy. Great Movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You're right on this one. Anytime this, or for that matter, the original "Miracle on 34th Street" is on, I have to watch it. Or for that matter, "A Christmas Story," as well as Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" staring Allister Syms.
You have to pry me away from the TV around Christmas!

It's about time someone mentioned "A Christmas Story". Can't help but watch it every year when it gets played around the clock.
I haven't seen my favorite western mentioned, "The Long Riders". I enjoy the saloon scenes and the fact that people miss their targets when firing guns.
My favorite period piece, because I love the various uniforms, "The Duelists".
My favorite juvenile comedy, "Weird Science". Kelly LeBrock was worth the price of admission, and who couldn't love Chet?
My favorite movie, "Star Wars". What can I say? I was about to graduate high school when it came out, and I still think it is the most perfect story told on film.

Man from Snowy River is one of my favorites too. I agree with you about the horsemanship.
My very favoritest though, is "The Wind and the Lion" I love the part where the Marines storm the palace!
