Who gets to decide who gets fired? Here's a novel notion: the employer gets to decide. In this case, it's the University, under the guise of guess who -- that's right, gosh, darn it, the Administration!

All of a sudden, USF leadership decided to feign patriotism after 9/11 and wash its hands of this scumbag. It wasn't as much 9/11 as much as it was the exposé of Al-Arian on local and national programs up to and including The O'Reilly Factor. That light's awful bright when it's directly on you.

You folks just try not to hurt yourselves accidentally with all those pitchforks and torches. Oh, that's right - when your assertions are shot down with evidence, you get to toss a casual insult and run away! Sounds like Donahue's tactics if you ask me...

The weakest argument, mein fruend, is you.
Besides, you are agreeing with me that you have something wrong with you mentally, morally, and ethically since you are also then Confirming that you are equating the canning and arrest of a known terrorist with going after Saddam.
So which is it?
Are you equating the arrest and canning of a known terrorist with ousting Saddam?
Or are you actually going to use some common sense for once and NOT defend a terrorist?
Yes I said:"To equate the canning and arrest of a KNOWN terrorist with going after Saddam is mentally, morally, and ethically deficient and proves that one cannot think logically, let alone operate on a NORMAL level."
And you take that to mean YOU.
So, thus, yuo are stating that you are equating the canning and arrest of Terror-boy with the ouster of Saddam.
Try and weasel out of this.

Should a KNOWN terrorist be allowed to operate freely under the guise of "Academic Freedom" to do whatever his mullah commands, or should he be deported or stand trial?

Someday people will listen? But at the same time, Todd, don't start this up all over again - no one was talking about that; as long as you leave it alone, everyone else will too.
What do you want - for this one to degenerate into a flame war as well? That is why the thread last night got locked.

Are you now going to claim it was because of you that these guys were arrested today? No, it was because of you and your bot-friends. The feds figured they'd better act quickly.

"No! Stop tarring defenders of academic freedom as "villains"! Once you start firing professors for saying things you disagree with, then where do you stop? In any case, this forum should not be used to gather lists of domestic "enemies." Shame on you."
Your statement speaks volumes..you mean to say raising money to blow up Israeli children is an "academic freedom"????????
To: mabelkitty; Jack Stephens; Camachee
I just love how those two refused to listen to the words "KNOWN TERRORIST" and "CONFIRMED TERROR SUPPORTER".
Don't you?
Hope their mullahs show them the love.

Grover Norquist is an Islamist sympathizer
LAMB: You also say that Grover Norquist, who -- who is he, by the way?
SCHWARTZ: Well, Grover Norquist is a very prominent fund-raiser, and what can I say, wheeler dealer and fixer in the Republican Party, Republican circles and in the conservative movement. And Mr. Norquist is someone who had -- prior to September 11, had cultivated the Muslim leadership in the United States, the Arab-American leadership in the United States, and had attempted to bring the American Muslim and Arab-American communities into the Republican camp, kind of as a parallel, I think, to the role of Jews in the Democratic Party. And he had formed an alliance which still he maintains with, essentially, the same group of people, the same Wahhabi, Saudi-backed radical Muslim figures who have had and had taken over and continue to exercise great influence in the leadership of the American Muslim community.
LAMB: Again, what`s wrong with this?
SCHWARTZ: Well, what`s wrong with this is, first of all -- there are several things wrong with it. There`s an abstract issue, and that is that the American republic cannot and should not take the official position or even a semi-official position that Wahhabi Islam, Saudi Islam, is the only form of Islam. This is what the Saudis and Wahhabis wanted and got, to a great extent. We cannot have a situation where the United States of America, whether as a community of believers or as an intellectual community or as a political factor, goes on the assumption that in dealing with Islam, we have to only deal with Wahhabis and Saudis. This is -- this is -- this is giving up the field to the extremists. This is giving up the field to the people who are -- were, in fact, the ideological preparers of September 11, the ideological backers and supporters of September 11.

If that professor is found guilty, I would imprison every single individual who defended him. If Chavez can take over a country for evil motives, then we can stop evil people here by good motives...to protect our nation and our people. It is time. That may be the most un-American statement I've ever read on FR.
I have to agree. If the evidence is there, arrest him and try him. Otherwise just watch. Perhaps in the last couple of years he has provided us with names of associates we might otherwise not have known about.
As for his supporters, shame on them. Never let them forget that we know who they are.
