More evidence of Germany's full knowledge of Iraqi wrongdoing and how the German Government and industry are trying to screw the US
To: An.American.Expatriate
Thanks for posting this link of Germany to Iraq. Somehow I get the feeling this is only the tip of the iceberg.

Munich Report documents a secret trip of the Federal Association of German Industry, with the support of the Foreign Office and the Federal Ministry of Economics, which took place in May 2000 and which casts an entirely new light on the Iraq Politics of the Federal Government. Among the delegation was a company (in the first version, the company was identified as Kolb) that had previously been reported to have a connection to poison gas production in Iraq. Delivering mobile biolabs to Iraq in the 1980's, when Iraq was a quasi-ally of the U.S., is one thing. May 2000 -- if this report is true -- is quite another.

In May 2000, Schroeder's Red-Green coalition was in power in Germany, and the Clinton administration was in power here in the U.S. I wonder if the U.S. government was aware of these sales.
To: aristeides
The report is true. This was reported by the state run media and I verified that the trip occured via the BDI web-site.
The sale of the trucks is not the issue. The issue is:
1) Iraq hasn't declared them and,
2) Everyone of those pukes in the UN who "laughed" about Powell's "sketches" needs a good whack upside the head.
To: aristeides
The german government has a long history of "hiding" its arms deals with other nations. There is a very long article about this (in German), which will require a bit of time to translate but it really sums up the last 20 years of deals between Germany and Iraq!
To: aristeides
Good question.
To: Fred Mertz
This information has been public for a while, just not "very" public. That's why the German's could bluster at the UN without fear. Colin Powell has got to be the most patient man on the face of the planet. How else could he put up with the obvious hypocrisy of France & Germany when they ore confronted, even obliquely, with evidence which THEY KNOW IS TRUE!

More connections, FYI!
(Thanks, AAE!)

No wonder the Germans don't want to join us against iraq, they might get gassed with their own stuff!

I think the germans are more worried about thier financial deals with iraq than they are with the weapons they have sold Saddam. After all, if we attack, all those nice deals for building "pesticide" plants and "tractor" factories will more than likely dry up!!!

To: Tangaray
thus we raise this question:
is germany with us, or are they against us?
i always thought they didn't like America, but i didn't know they'd stoop this low

The mobile biological and chemical weapons laboratories, which US Secretary of Stat Colin Powell presented in drawings actually exist. At least eight of these were delivered by Germany at the end of the 1980s. This was reported for the first time by an eyewitness to Munich Report.

If people want on or off this list, please let me know.

How come appeasement is OK based on national interests, but war is not? duh. sorry just venting. I'm not arguing with ya.

Nedd the French? If we wanted to carry a white flag and surrender, we could do that ourselves, even though the French are very good at it.
