That makes sense. Trying to keep us out of Iraq without actually coming out in the light to oppose us (a la France), may have been enough to start the process.
Trouble is, can they stop it after the balloon goes up in the Gulf (or would they even want to)?

Real question is do they want to, especially if they come up short.
I believe that President Bush is going about it the right way, holding firm, not over reacting, keep cool head.
President Bush also seems to know whom is ultimely in control and in the face of all the slings and arrows being thrown isn't over reacting. What good would it serve N. Korea to nuke us, they need money and food? I don't think they are so far gone that they have forgotten this, just like a bully in front of his gang trying to start something.
Be ready and prepared, don't panic. We were protected through all of the Soviet Union's threats, even when we elected a socialist some of stayed strong.
