I received the following email about 20 mins ago...this is the result of an LAPD shooting of a suspect last night. Stay off the MTA Blue Line and out of the area for now. LASD and LAPD have commandposts set up.
Where is Field Marshall Bratton now??
LASD Transit Bureau on scene at 55th St. & Holmes Ave. re: protest. Units reporting apptox. 60 people that have "broken several water hydrants" and blocked blue line tracks. LASD, LAPD, Housing Authority, and LA County Police on assisting. Units requesting supervision, gas, AR-15, and beanbags. Working on 484.1125.

I think the Rodney King fiasco took place near Normandie. That's on the map of the Blue Line. He was first pulled over by a CA Highway Patrolwoman, then LAPD came in for the rest of it. So it was in LA because LAPD took over and not the LASO.

The riots started near Normandie and Florence, but Rodney King was actually pulled over in the SF Valley by officers from the Foothill division IIRC (near Pacoima).

It showcases Kalifornia's siege mentality. Between the gangs, riots , earthquakes, wildfires, illegal aliens, mud slides I had time to work on my treatment of this exciting film project/concept album/performance art......

That's OK, we design them with breakaway stems.
Maybe if they use up their water allotments from the Colorado, they can begin to appreciate why water is so valuable in the desert.

Can I ask you a question? I don't understand "aim small--miss small." I'm not usually dense!

Are you sure that an LA sports team did not win (or lose) a sporting event-that's when these thugs seem to get out of hand.

>>Weaponed-up.
After the post-Rodney King experience (heck, the post-Watts experience!), anyone out there who isn't, is a fool.
Then again, anyone who isn't, is a fool, period, regardless of location.

IMHO the police should cordon off the entire neighborhood to protect those outside the line. Let the maniacs rave until they run out of steam. If they try to cross the line and impose their lawlessness on innocents, kill them. Period.

If you're aiming, and aiming small (and not sprayin' and prayin'), you're probably not missing your intended point of aim by much. And if you're only missing point of aim by just a little, you're probably still effective. For instance, a small miss from the center of the chest puts one right through the heart, or to the other side, a lung, etc.

Thanks for your concern. I don't live anywhere near Southern California let alone LA....Though I spent some of the funnest years of my life in Southern California.

There is a reason why Mayor Giulianni fired him here (oh I'm sorry he was allowed to quit).
