This is not an ideology that can withstand several hours a day of caller scrutiny where their goofball notions can be shot down by any truck driver with a cell phone.

I'm crying rofl. too funny.

I cant always listen to Rush, I work for a living and I find myself distracted by him during office hours.

My new boss was facsinated that I had Rush on my radio during a slow time today. We had a short talk about why I was not offended by Rush's "feminazi" rants, and he and I had a come to reality moment.

RL is radio entertainment that does not waste my time.Dittoheads are ok, but not required.RL radio requests brain engagement, before mouth activation. That is why he rules talk radio.

That is also why there will never be a liberal mirror image of RLs success.Sarcastic lies are all liberals offer, and BS is not easily "spun" via audio only mechanisms.

This will apply to any group that starts a liberal radio show but since Fox is the first out of the gate with Alan Colmes I'll present it from that angle. The only way that the bean counters at FNC will let this experiment with Colmes go on is if it makes FNC money. And that means advertising. In radio you convince people to advertise on your station one of two ways. You give them such bargain basement ad rates they'd be dumb NOT to advertise on your show or you come to them with the Arbitron ratings showing them how dumb they are for not advertising on your show. Now the first scenario can only go for so long before you have to out of necessity bring your ad rates up to something respectable. You can't whore yourself out forever. To get the ratings you have to give the listeners something that makes people feel their day isn't complete if they haven't tuned into your station/show/timeslot etc. I just can't think of anyone on the liberal side of the house that can generate the numbers beyond one ratings book. Ailes and Murdoch are capitalists, this is true. But even the most optimistic capitalist knows when it's time to cut the money pits lose and lower the financial losses.
