A spokeswoman for Sen. Hillary Clinton sounded angry Wednesday morning over comments from Sen. John McCain yesterday, after the Arizona Republican urged ex-President Bill Clinton to "shut up!" and stop criticizing President Bush as the nation prepares for war.
"I don't think that's appropriate," barked the Clinton press flak, who hung up the phone abruptly before we could get the full McCain quote out.
No one in ex-President Clinton's Harlem office was available to comment on Sen. McCain's remarks.
In an interview with nationally syndicated radio host Sean Hannity on Tuesday, the Senate's most influential Republican slammed both ex-presidents Clinton and Carter for their recent Bush bashing, saying they were "causing damage" to U.S. interests with their constant carping about White House war plans in Iraq.
"Look, former presidents can do damage," McCain warned. "It's very unhelpful. It's in some ways damaging."
He then added, "I just have two words: Shut up!"
"It was an unwritten rule for a long time," the Arizona Republican told Hannity, "that you kept your mouth shut about the conduct, particularly of national security affairs, by the people that succeeded you. That is obviously not honored by either former President Carter or former President Clinton."

You know, I think I just might be able to die happy, if I knew that something I had said had made Hillary Clinton angry.

I would consider that treason.

That's sure what I thought. I was stunned. And you know he's doing it now, along with Clinton. Can't you see Clinton making all those calls?
Because you know the last thing Bill Clinton wants is for George Bush and this adminstration to be successful. Isn't that amazing? They are HOPING Bush fails and OUR troops' lives are lost so they can get back in power.

I've been calling members of Congress for years to let them know when I am very upset. The staff for most of the Democrats are nasty! Republican staff members are always professional and listen to me and believe me I get more upset with Republicans (John McCain) for one. And, because I have called his office so often in the past to complain, I called today to thank him for his remarks. I sure do hope he gets the media coverage for this -- but I'll bet not.

However, that doesn't change the fact that he is a whackjob RINO bastard McCain actually helped Bush in the 2000 primaries by forcing Bush to the right.

That is obviously not honored by either former President Carter or former President Clinton. Jimmuh's problem is that he has an inflated view of his influence and importance that makes him value his own opinions over the dictates of honor.
And Clinton's problem is that he never had any honor to begin with.

I'm glad that McCain told Clinton to shut up. It's the first thing he's said in a long time that I agree with.

Do you think he'll run for re-election?....and what's the local info on his health....everytime I see him on the tube, the facial bandages seem to be larger. I hope there's no health issue, but I think he's gonna retire......who's the most likely GOPers to replace him..

Almost the whole DemoRat Party has been "Clintonized"
What a position to be in, having to hope that every
thing that is bad for America, has to happen, for
them to regain power. The one thing that they will never
admit!! Clinton and the beast that is married to him,
along with the Democrat Party, are a RICO enterprise in
full operation. Their co-conspirator is the U.N. and the leftist media acts as their distribution depot!!!
