What kind of people watch "The View"?????????
Posted on 02/19/2003 8:26:01 AM PST by outinyellowdogcountry
I just happened to hear the beginning of "The View" just now. It began with a crass and disgusting, low brow humor about a man's private part. The guest was Jamie Lee Curtis and a discussion began about Iraq. Guess who Jamie was for-something about our president needing to listen to the millions of protestors in America! Then Barbara W. chimed in about LBJ resigning over Vietnam. Who likes this stuff??? I have no patience with this clap trap. It is so much like Donahue. I bet the ratings are low but ABC is keeping it on for the political slant. I feel better now. My question, besides who watches this, is the show always so crude and inane?

These broads are like the blind Stygian Witches of Greek mythology. They can only see by holding an orb they call the "eye". They also love to prey on man flesh. Unlike them, the gals of "The View" are not blessed with wisdom. Unlike needing an orb, I think they pass around a brain cell just to talk!!

MY pesonal name for the show is "The Liberal View." It's the same old liberal indoctrination technique that's been used on housewives and soccer moms by TV, women's magazines, trash like "People" magazine, "TV Guide," etc. for years on end.
Somehow if a "celebrity" like Ba Ba Wa Wa says something "deep," the Brainless Women of America rush off to the polls to vote another Democrat into office. (BWA's are very different from real women but they're a crucial Democrat voting bloc and are carefully nurtured by the media with such trash as Oprah, The Liberal View and other liberal-feminist claptrap that makes me want to throw things at the TV.)

It's show for women who want something silly and superficial. Few men watch it.

My question, besides who watches this, is the show always so crude and inane? My mother watched it when it first came on the air, but stopped because it was always crude and inane.
Its worse brainwashing than Oprah.

One morning last year, I was trapped in a doctor's office waiting room with a room full of screaming, sneezing children and "The View" turned up loud.
Yep.
Anyway. The View is one of those things that makes you fear for the present and future of this nation.

Well, now I do feel better. I am not alone in my appraisal. I do think the 60+ crowd are viewers. The lady that was concerned about what would happen to HER if we attacked Saddam echoes what I heard Viera say one day as I flipped through the channels. Talk about mind numbed. And, I first e-mailed Ms. Walters with my opinion.

The women on The View are the cheerleaders for the Apocalypse.

Look what do you want from a bunch of NYC liberal women? I mean come now... 4 urban liberals know jack about the world? Their biggest dillemas are how many shoes to buy at the next sale... How quickly these bimbo's forget watching the towers fall in their own back yard...
Star was a very successful prosecuting attorney, but obviously it doesn't take long from being a hard nosed prosecutor to being an overpaid media sicophant... I wonder how many times she question her bosses orders to prosecute a perp because the investigation needed more time after 12 years of violations were documented.
As for the asian girl, yes, she is a girl, grow up. And the brunette... I don't know what she does or did... she reminds me of the tennis playing housewife boffing her instructor while her rich hubby goes off and pays for her lifestyle... and the Jewish comedian... she's ok, of course I wonder how often she wonders whether or not she'd have an ID tatoo on her arm had we followed the German and French view of the world.

I've watched twice - once to see what they said during Monica Lewinsky (the blond host who is now gone defended Clinton solely on the basis that her student aid had increased when she was in college) and once a few weeks ago when I was clicking through and Laura Ingraham was on - they finally told her they didn't want to "talk politics" anymore even though they always do - just all with the same opinion.

"The View" is not designed to be watched. It's designed to reward the gals on it, especially Baba Wawa, for their many long years of loyal lockstep liberal lipsyc-ing. It's a payoff.
There are a lot of shows that exist not so much for the viewers but for the people on them. ABC News Nightline is a good example of such a show. Its viewership is miniscule, but the libs think it's an "important show" to have on. Fact is, it's a payoff/reward to Ted Koppel - who now takes the money but barely shows up at all.
The Sunday Morning Talking Heads Screamfest doesn't exist for the viewer - it exists for the NYTimes and the Washington ComPost. Viewership across the country is nil - except in the NY/DC corridor. Press The Meat, for example, is there to generate headlines for the newspapers - who oblige, and then get subsequently quoted the next day on the network evening news shows. It's all quite circular.
