The Story Behind the "Anti-War" Protesters

by: Texaggie79

The first thing one must realize when one analyzes the "anti-war" crowd is that it is comprised of several different factions. As with everything, you have the leaders, and you have the followers. This, in no way, properly categorizes everyone though.

Within the leaders, you have groups, each with a differnt purpose. Of course, president Bush, stands in the way of them all. There are those at the very top who's aim is no less than communism, however, there are many other leaders who simply don't wish to see Bush succeed, all because of the political party he represents. Other leaders, simply protest whoever is in power, and there is no other country more powerful than the US. They detest anyone who is successful, even if they help those less fortunate (which is exactly what the US does). They could never be persuaded to agree with any conservative administration. Even if Satan himself were to manifest himself as a national leader somewhere, these people would still root against the US. These leaders, however, are a very small part of what you see out on the streets protesting.

The vast majority of "anti-war" protesters you see are all followers. Within these followers you have even more chaos as to what it is they believe, and why they are protesting.

Many, are children who somehow reached a mature age, yet their mind never followed. They look at the current situation as something out of a school-yard tale. You see, they still need authority figures in their lives, and they will openly welcome control over their own lives. They will not accept that no situation exists that cannot be solved by some supreme authority figure who settles things, just as a teacher would settle a school-yard fight. These people see Saddam as a school-yard bully. They believe that all we need to do is call in some authority figure to make him stop by simply telling him to "stop it". These are the same people who tell their children that there is NEVER a situation where they might have to physically defend themselves. That even if a bully were attacking them, it would be wrong to fight back. They think that the UN is this authority figure that can stop Saddam the bully. They care not that he has totally ignored them for the past 12 years. They simply cannot relinquish the idea that somewhere there is an authority figure that can save the day without anyone having to resort to violence and they will hold to that belief until the day they die. They live in a fairy tale world. They will cover their ears and scream in defiance if you try to tell them that there are some times where violence is necessary. These are people that would never have survived a day in an unsettled country, where self defense is the only defense. They believe that since the country they live in is civilized and that the police and government can take care of anyone that threatens them, the entire world must function the same way. They fail to realize that Saddam IS the police, and IS the government of his own country.

Iraq is a sovereign nation, and should answer to no higher authority, nor should any nation. So, what do you do when the entire government of a nation is corrupt and violent? When that government kills it's own people for defiance? When that government attacks other nations? What do you do, since it answers to no authority? When it's own people cannot stand up to it? The "anti-war" crowd, apparently, thinks we should continue to turn a blind eye, and pray that nothing bad happens..... again.

These people weren't "anti-war" protestors any more than Jesse Jackson is a Fire Marshal.

And let's not forget that disgraced ex-president Clinton's favorite past-time at Oxford was organizing anti-AMERICAN protests. As far as I'm concerned, all those freaks are the unholy spawn of Hillary's belly-warmer.

You nailed it, but I think it is even more inane than that. These freaks think if they get another anti-war movement going, a new Hendrix and a new Morrison will appear and appear at a new Woodstock and they will recreate the orange-barrel orgies of the 21th century.

Even if Satan himself were to manifest himself as a national leader somewhere,

Actually, the bible says that is going to happen...

You've got to be more specific: Web Hubbell, Vince Foster, or Janet Reno?

They could never be persuaded to agree with any conservative administration. That's very true. There was a prominent German journalist on Fox News, yesterday (I forget his name). He said flat out that Germans like democrats. I think that the anti-war types can be divided into 2 categories. Those who are uninformed about the situation, history and the future impact of it all - ie, holywood liberals, young kids, etc. And those who are hardcore communists who will oppose *any* move by the USA (being THE #1 capitalist in the world and all..)
