[history]
The Fine Line Music Cafe in downtown Minneapolis would have been smokin' Monday with the guitar wailing of Link Wray, but the warm-up band got things hot a little early.
The Jet City Fix was playing its encore when it set off a pyrotechnic display that started the club's ceiling on fire about 7:15 p.m., fire officials said.

Odd, no mention of the many laws that were probably violated by using the Pyro.
One for instance, making explosives in any form requires an BATF license.

We saw the Bone Daddies at the Fine Line. There was an old coverted bus garage downtown near Fine Line. We saw the Neville Brothers and it was a hoot.

"What happened in Chicago was an anomaly," he said. "We make sure we're not over capacity and check to see if all exits are unlocked." Um....After seeing what happened last night at the Rhode Island nightclub perhaps this idiot might want to take back his statement that this was an "anomaly."

The pissed-off club owner Dario Anselmo (on the right?) during an earlier, happier moment, receiving an award from the Minnesota Licensed Beverage Association in 2001:

... perhaps this idiot might want to take back his statement that this was an "anomaly." I thought the exact same thing when I heard the news this morning.

Will the Jet City Fix, or the owner who paid them to perform in public, get a bill for these services?
To: Cultural Jihad
I don't know. But, I do remember some poor soul who got a bill from the NPS for starting a forest fire because the trailer he was towing had a flat tire which caught on fire and ignited several brush fires. I think he was billed close to a million dollars but I didn't hear what happened to that case.

Their website didn't have a poster advertising their appearance in the Minnesota later in the week. If it did, rest assured I would have posted it instead.
To: Cagey
Link Wray! He's still rocking, not bad for a guy who's 74 years old.
