I'm waiting for a rifle chambered for this big puppy!

I'm thinking more along the lines of a nice short handy little brush carbine, maybe based on an over/under .410 or 28-gauge shotgun action, with barrels of around 20 inches in length. There are certainly some interesting possibilities for a lever-action repeater too, and the action of the Marlin M444 is a likely possibility, and certainly strong enough.

But I'm not waiting. I'll build my own, or at least I'll give the over-and-under a good try. It may take a couple of months before chambering reamers are available, but I know just the folks to ask.

Hmmm, scope sights, or not. We shall see....

I was thinking along the same lines.

I've owned a nice shooting Marlin lever action carbine chambered in .357 Mag w/a 4x Weaver scope for over 30 years. It is so nice that I would immediately purchase the same rifle chambered for the .500 S&W Mag.

WTH, everybody needs an elephant gun in their gun safe, don't they?

I envy your ability to manufacture your own rifle. Please post your progress in words and pictures.
