As the article says, "a potent symbol of French military power." Shouldn't that be a "symbol of impotent French military power." (a Mirage by any other name...)

The nuclear-powered Charles de Gaulle has been beset by technical problems over the years, but is a potent symbol of French military power. A sly dig? Or careless writing?
