It's no wonder the Germans feel such an affinity to this guy.

David Brooks imtimates similarities between Baath and Nazi Parties...
The Baathist ideology requires continual conflict and bloodshed. Saddam likes to call himself The Struggler (see Mein Kampf {"My Struggle"}), and his rule has been marked by incessant strife. He led his nation through a bloody eight-year war with Iran that produced World War I level casualties, a ruthless campaign of genocide against the Kurds, the invasion of neighboring Kuwait, a war with the United States and the rest of the world, civil wars in the north and south of his country, and now another potential war with the United States and its allies over weapons of mass destruction. There has been no respite. The Baathist ideology commands that there be no respite. The Baathist ideology allows no remorse over the mass murder of those who belong to racially inferior groups. Once a dictator assumes the Aflaqite belief in the superiority of the Arab race, it is practically inevitable that he will find his arena for genocide, he will find his Kurds. Moreover, his theory of history will pardon him if he sets out to commit mass murder against lower races, such as Americans. The Baathist ideology demands a revolution in world affairs. The United States and its democracy must be humiliated and brought low so that the dominance of the Arab nation can achieve its final and fitting triumph, and so realize God's plan for the earth.

I'm glad this information is beginning to get out. In my opinion, it's something that we should all try to publicize. Leave no hiding place for Saddam's supporters, especially the American fifth column.

The human-secularists/socialists are the chief enemy of Islam in the US, after the Jews, but they haven't realized it yet.

It needs to be recalled, also, that the anti-war, "America First" crowd also tended to greatly admire Hitler and the Nazi program. There is a reason why we have not seen mass demonstrations against Saddam, his WMDs, and his non-cooperation with inspectors.
To: silver_patriot2000
Even if this were fact, and I have no reason to doubt it, leftists consider this totally irrelevant. Saddam Hussein could be proven, by DNA, to be Hitler's b*st*rd son, read "Mein Kampf" over loudspeakers in Baghdad between Muslim prayers and still the French/German/English/American, "Western Left", would pay this no heed.
Unfortunately, the West will need to suffer another 11 Sept. before this danger is finally recognized. Even then, it will be reluctant recognition at best.

So what do you think about this guy's comments about the CIA hiring Saddam to kill off communists in Iraq in the 1950's?

The human-secularists/socialists are the chief enemy of Islam in the US,...Respectfully, they are in reality Islam's ally. They are the "Useful Idiots" that all free societies have. We let them run free until it is too late.
It's the history of Western Man.

Really, I'd like to have a compilation of all documents and data related to Saddam's ties to nazis or communists. It would nice if could slap a very nice Nazi label on all those who march for "peace". I'm still not sure what to believe with all of these interpretations flying around.
So this is what I have so far....Saddam was a Nazi being paid by Capitalists to fight Communists. Someone please ping a thread with some published historical evidence please. This is a very interesting subject.

Saddam use to be a useful tool. Now he's just a fool.
To: Vigilanteman
I kept wondering if he might have a Nazi leaning.

The information presented here about the Grand Mufti is very well documented. Do a Google search for him instead of relying on others to do your research for you. The definitive source would be the Nuremberg trials.

Saddam's political idol was Stalin. Added to his nazi influences, he personifies the greatest evils of the 20th century, all wrapped up in one package. What a guy.
If only the dumbass human shields/hollywood foreign policy experts could get an invite to uncle saddam's Ba'athhouse.

You're right, they are 'useful idiots'.
But the idiots don't yet realize that their 'religious' beliefs, such as atheism, women's rights, and widespread pornography, are what Islam hates the most about the West. They are to be the first to go if......

Yes, that's very true. I've been doing a lot of reading lately on the WWII "peace movement," and except for the addition of Islamist elements this time around, it's very similar. Many of the WWII "peace" groups were admirers of Hitler, and others were Communist front groups who simply hated the United States.

It would nice if could slap a very nice Nazi label on all those who march for "peace".Yes, documentation would come in useful, but only after the fact, and only to convince the reasonable.
I contend that no matter how much evidence one gathers against Hussein, the Peace Protesters will not absorb it. Remember, they are "Artists" and so was Hitler. I think I read somewhere that Hussein wrote "poetry".
The great rift in the cognate of the Pacifist Left is that they can recognize only the artist (?) in the human beast and not the "beast" in the human dictator. In Vienna, Hitler wanted to draw pretty pictures, in Auschwitz, he burned human beings instead. There is a connection in this paradox.

They are to be the first to go if...Yes, always and they won't be convinced otherwise. Do you think you could convince Julius Rosenberg that when Joe Stalin "took over" North America, Julius and Ethel would be killed off as being a "traitorous lot"? Rosenberg would have expected a medal, he would have received a bullet.
