Blair's ace in the hole is that his opponents stand for nothing save one of their bums warming the PM's seat at the Front Bench. Their anti-war stance is profoundly immoral, as it leaves a brutal, fascist tyrant in the seat of power in Baghdad.

That's all the marchers stood for.

A few articles are now being published in the British press asking "where" were the anti-Saddam signs.

They were nowhere to be found, of course. Not that the marchers hated Saddam less, but they hated Bush and the Americans more. That's what animates them. The peace movement doesn't really give a rat's ass about the life being beaten out of the Iraqis.

Thankfully, George W. Bush, and Tony Blair, do. And that makes all the difference.
