"the Birchers were right, on at least one occasion."
Two old sayings come to mind; something about a broken watch is correct twice a day and even paranoid nutcases have enemies.

And some on here worship Republicans and the ground that they walk on. And they ignore that the Constitution was written FOR The common populace, just SO that they could understand it. That being the whole point behind its construction.
Further, some Republican worshipers attack their targets when it doesn't best serve them.

Good morning, Howlin.
Oh, I'm not worried too much about the "intellect" of someone who wants to re-educate us for seeing the monumental hypocrisy of the Left.

I'm pro-Free Trade, which will alienate me from the Bircher crowd right off.
But I'd be willing to have an open airing of their positions.

Your control is the worst thing that could have happened to FR.
I'm sure your aware of my opinion by now.
To: Howlin
And that's not a reply.
But hey, you don't have to reply. You can effect a ban.

You can effect a ban. If you are insinuating that I could possibly get your banned, you're more delusional than anybody on here thinks.
Believe me, if I could, this place would be a lot quicker to read.

A Republican stating that the Constitution requires extra interpretation is an abomination.
The Founders made clear their interpretation.
The record is in evidence.
To: Howlin
Which parts of the Constitution would you like to openly debate, without crawling for help?
To: Free ThinkerNY
For the Left, any enemy of America, is a friend of theirs. You are exactly right. It has never been more clear that the vocal left is first and foremost anti-American. It's the only principle that they truly hold dear.
To: Howlin
I'll use the Founders own words.
And you can use what you believe to be the modern and politically convienient Republican rebuttal.
To: DAnconia55
Firstly, I didn't accuse you of being a bircher only that its silly for one to argue their views had any merit as it was an organization of kooks. Secondly, I don't have an exhaustive list of what the Birchers stand for but I can assure you its galaxies away from what moderate Republicans stand for. What initially comes to mind is their hatred of Jews who they are convinced are in charge of some world government, have all kinds of wacky doomsday conspiracies and other such "lovely" viewpoints. Heck check out their website for starters.

The thought quotient at FR is decreasing. And the reason you're still here is what?
That old "the really swell thinkers have all left FR" is yet another old stand by, eh?
Your control is the worst thing that could have happened to FR.
You're the one who seems obsessed with thought control.

And further, how could you know that they are or are not an organization of kooks?
You've admitted yourself, that you don't know what they stand for.
I happen to know they are anti-free trade, and I'm against that. But I don't know the totality of what they are for or are against.

Sir, its 4:30 in the morning thus its a bit too early for me to write up for you a report on Birchers. As I said before, I don't have an exhaustive list all typed out in front of me. At the very least I gave you the gist of their "agenda." Once again I invite you to check out their website if you think I'm ignorant. Thus don't get all excited that my inability to blast out the birchers' talking points undermines the argument.
