Deep in the preparation frenzy for today's anti-war march, organizer Andrea Buffa counted the latest checks she had cut.

About $1,400 for the company handling trash cans. An additional $5,354 for the portable toilets. And $10,000 for part -- not all -- of the sound system.

You are correct. Passing the plate is the cover for cash infused into the organization from embarassing sources. Every one of these anti-war, globalist groups "passes the hat."

Cash from secretive donors can be explained to the feds in this manner. For example, suppose Iraq wants to fund a demonstration. They have cash brought here from overseas. The demonstration passes the hat (on C-SPAN, to make sure it is documented.) After the demonstration, a sufficient amount of cash is deposited to cover the demonstration (and pay off a few organizers, no doubt). There is no way to stop this, unless you can infiltrate the group and get evidence.

No luck in finding out who is funding. I vaguely remember that various "nonprofit" organizations must file a list of income and spending items with the Secretary of State (or whatever the analogue is in the various States.) This listing, if true, might be a source of information. The left long ago learned to hide behind anonymous names i.e Peoples Front. etc. This makes it hard to trace various bits of information.

dware, I thank you for the invitation and for your willingness to go into the sewer after these guys.

After 9-11, I spent some intense sessions researching militant Muslim chat rooms and organizations on the web. It helped me slap down those who would critize our Fed. evidence-gatherers and our President - who hears terrible plots against us daily in the security briefings (and faces 200 death threats a week). No way could I do that for a living and not start hating 'my neighbor' after a while.

If I run across any info, I promise to ping...and am always ready to send the info off to pols and pundits.

Thanks, dware. Hope your feeling fit after your other sacrificial act on behalf of FR and our nation last week...though the mussels truly did pay the ultimate price. (^:

Hi YaYa!

We've been asking the press about who is funding all of these protests across the country every time we hold a rally and get press coverage. We know how much it costs to rent stages, sound systems, porta-potties, tents, etc. Week after week these anti-war groups are coming up with money for really huge rallies which magnifies the costs of the equipment, not to mention the buses, staffing, signs and posters that are made up, funding for the offices that have been set up in various cities, and so forth. This anti-war movement costs a great deal of money and it is coming from somewhere and needs to be investigated. World Workers Party communists head up ANSWER and various other protest groups and they are working to undermine our government and our way of life.

Been feeling fit as fit can be! In fact, I'm craving mussels already.

I still have to come up with something for next quarter. I was thinking something along the lines of a tattoo for both my wife and I, which would have freerepublic.com incorporated. I don't know - it has to be something zany, weird, etc.

Should you think of something, please let me know. Also, I'll keep in touch about the Citizens for Fair and Balanced Funding.

Hah, I'll just take the opportunity to say, "thank you"!

Cities for Peace brings an anti-war message to capital (Angelwood Quoted):

"Do they think these protests are going to keep a bomb from dropping on them?" Miss Wood asked. "In the long run, what they are doing is undermining the ability of the president to act in the best interest of the American public and our national defense."
