They use it (downgrading and name calling) to promote their ideology as well as stroke their ego

When I visited the WWII museum in London last year, it was a nice surprise to see a section of the museum dedicated entirely to the American G.I. It was also heartening to hear British people there ask me how Americans are doing since 9-11 and tell me how much 9-11 affected them, that they felt it may as well have happened to their country.
Great Britain has been and continues to be, without question, our closest and most reliable ally.

I told him, the real difference between our peoples was actually about 100 pounds per person. Can't argue with that. Visit any Wal-Mart and see for yourself.

We can respect their courage too. They have been good friends.

A powerful and most welcome opinion piece that should be run in every newspaper in America. Well, maybe not the New York Times, Washington Post, Boston Globe, Philadelphia Inquirer--Oh! The hell with it. How do you subscribe to the Daily Mail?
To: DaughterOfAnIwoJimaVet
Look at the recent FR article about the error of multiculturalism.

You quirky mix of 280 million misfits that have somehow blended...this is wrong, the mix has to be filtered and sterilized before it can be blended. It takes a lot to unnerve me, but you have somehow managed to... unless I am reading too much into your post...

In reply to the thank you note that I sent to Mr. Black, I have received a response. I'm sure that he wouldn't object, but I will wait until I hear back from him before posting it.

I think we're all getting the same 'form' letter from him, plus he says he will reply later when things quiet down.
I did tell him that Clinton's glibness of speech didn't make him an admirable man, just as Bush's Texas 'twang' doesn't make him dumb, and I wished the Europeans could understand that! [I'm a Texan].
