Creationism is no more a "threat" to science than an accordion is a "threat" to deer.
Creationism as a science is a joke, not a threat. It's no more a threat to evolution than astrology is to astonomy. The threat that creationism presents is not to science, but to the education system. The threat comes from misguided people who want to insert creationism into the schools, pretending that it's an alternative scientific theory that deserves to be presented to students along with evolution.
