[history]
February 15, 2003 -- SOMETHING is amiss at the United Nations. With 200,000 troops assembled in the Persian Gulf and compelling new evidence proving that Saddam Hussein is in material breach of U.N. resolutions on disarmament, the world body is prepared to award two of the world's most notorious and despotic regimes with leadership positions.

Sorry Vito, I don't approve of another penny to go to the UN.
It's FUBAR and that's that. Time to move on.

Democracy is bogus, but otherwise correct.

What more do we expect from a pacifist Swede and a Muslim Egyptian who lead the inspectors? THE SILLY BLUE BASEBALL CAPS MAKE THE INSPECTORS LOOK LIKE MEMBERS OF THE FLORIDA MARLINS.

Is the writer an idiot? Has he been circling Uranus? What's the psychobabble about moral authority and the UN in the same sentence? I guess he didn't hear about Syria on the "Security" Council, (and how long has that been now)?
Our Enemies congregate on our soil. I find it as offensive as if Hitler were alive frequenting Broadway.

I had a dream a long time ago that we kicked the UN off our soil right after we withdrew from the organization. The UN promptly relocated to VATICAN CITY and I remembered the prophesy that the AntiChrist would rise from Rome.....

After the United States formally informed and complained to the UN that North Korea is in violation of various WMD treaties - China formally used its position on the UN Security Council to request that the US handle it alone (unilaterally) and not with the assistance expertise, guidance of the all knowing-all seeing- peace loving UN.
Weird huh?
When we argue that the continual lack of action by the UN, to enforce its own resolutions over the past 12 years as well as Its most recent last chance resolution 1441, will eventually require us to act- then we are accused of acting unilaterally.
Yet when we ask for assistance with the WMD's admission by North Korea we asked to act unilaterally.
So what is the "true" purpose of the United Nations?
