Sod the bloody Austrians, Germans and French. Let us smash Saddam Hussein, open the torture chambers and weapons labs to the light of day and make these opponents look undeniably stupid and shameful.
Regards, Ivan

Just in case you are having difficulty finding French companies to boycott, just remember that NISSAN is now French owned and controlled, specifically by RENAULT. This company is real big on "diversity" and multiculturalism.

Funny, but isn't there a French carrier in the Eastern Med right now ?? I could see that one getting sunk if they don't move it out of the way soon.

Delay, delay, delay. The Austrians, French, Germans, and Belgians will sit around doing nothing productive.
They are no longer the Axis of Weasels, but the Axis of Wankers.
I do agree with this Axis on two points though:
- No second resolution needed.
- More inspectors need to be sent in.
I nominate the V Corps, the 1st Marine Division, the 101st Airborne, and the Desert Rats as the new inspectors. But these crack troops must have a carpet rolled out first -- carpet bombing, that is.
Let's get on with it!

Mr de Villepin also described France as "an old country" from a continent which had known "wars, occupation and barbarity". "It has never ceased to stand upright in the face of history and before mankind," he said
Sort of like the "standing upright" of the Vichy regime, eh? I seem to recall them being very cooperative with the SS in the rounding up of French Jews.
Yeah, they're "stand up" guys, all right. The only problem is, they goose-step when they stand up.

You have got to read this :
Mark Steyn: It's not really about Saddam
To M. Chirac, Tony Blair is the odd man out, with his strange Anglo-Saxon hang-ups about the transatlantic alliance.
....Let Blair emerge from an Anglo-American war on Iraq with his worldview resoundingly confirmed, and it's possible that Europe will develop in ways that are not in France's interest.
....
Would love to hear your opinion!

I've been utterly convinced that France would jump on the bandwagon at the very last minute (as it their wont), but now I'm not so sure. At this point, that 180 might be just too difficult to maneuver.

So the smug French want more inspectors; well in a few days were going to be sending about 250,000 "inspectors" to Iraq. I don't believe we need to open the torture chambers and weapons labs to make these a$$holes look undeniably stupid and shameful, they do that every time they open their mouths.

It appears the Security Council process is dead or will result in a veto. Ivan, will Blair proceed without a second resolution and if he does can he survive as Labour leader and P.M.?

One reason to thank the French: They have demonstrated that the UN as an institution is inimical to the national interest of the US and other freedom-loving nations. I pray that the Bush administration now withdraws from the diplomatic process at the UN. That organization has met the enemy and surrendered.

De Villepin thinks the inspectors will disarm Iraq? How so? Gee, they've been there inspecting and yet are they disarming as he thinks they are most qualified to do?
Shame on the French for perptuating this shabby farce.Such a big joke, hahaha....they are children to think anyone doesn't see through this charade.Bush, end it.Light this candle and get the bombers on their way...say Monday night.

I like your comments, Ivan.
I saw Henry Kissinger interviewed on Charlie Rose last night, and he was adamant that the time for war is NOW. Kissinger also explained that the French always oppose everything the US does until the last minute, and then gives in, but having Germany jump into this fray has made France's position difficult. He thinks we should just give up on Germany, but there is hope for France if they can figure out how to wiggle away from the "partnership" with Germany. What makes it difficut is that France and Germany hope to keep Franco-German power in the EU and don't want the other countries to gain ascendancy. New Europe vs Old Europe, as Rumsfeld so acerbically pointed out, is a, and perhaps the real issue here.
So the politicians maneuver while our troops wait it out in the desert as the weather gets hotter and hotter. Shut up, already, and let the men get this over before they have to endure 120-degree heat in Hazmat suits.
