Was writing some response to someone who posted Ramsey Clark's stupid Impeach Bush website ... and then the moderator here wisely pulled it and directed users to DU for such bile (or words to that effect, good move Moderator!)....

Anyway, since this post is here, thought I would at least show the stupid ten "articles of impeachment" that this idiot is pressing on Dubya. They are really pretty lame.

The alleged impeachable acts of President George W. Bush include:

1. Ordering and directing "first strike" war of aggression against Afghanistan causing thousands of deaths;

Resulting in the freedom of a country held houstage, women allowed to go to school again and to have jobs, provision of food for the masses, previously denied!

2. Removing the government of Afghanistan by force and installing a government of his choice;

No, a gov't of the Afghan people's choice ... see notes on #1 above.

3. Authorizing daily intrusions into Iraqi airspace and aerial attacks including attacks on alleged defense installations in Iraq which have killed hundreds of people in time of peace;

Hmmm ... me thinks that these "intrusions" were carried on for 8 years during Clinton's admin as well, but let's pretend not (sheesh). And let's fall prey to the Iraq propoganda who uses human shields to hide behind and under.

4. Authorizing, ordering and condoning attacks in Afghanistan and Iraq on civilians, civilian facilities and locations where civilian casualties are unavoidable;

Right ... show me a single order that so "authorized" .. what a crock.

5. Threatening the use of nuclear weapons and ordering preparation for their use;

Hmmm - so where is the "Ramsey Clark" call to destroy all nuclear weapons? Seeing how this "nutcase" works, I assume that this is one of his ongoing pet pieves and there probably is one. Further, where was this "threat" exactly? Does "not ruling out" any options amount to a "threat" when dealing with terrosists and despots? Sorry Ramsey, go Bush!!

6. Threatening the independence and sovereignty of Iraq by belligerently proclaiming his personal intention to change its government by force;

Hey numbnuts, this "threat" has been given by 17 declarations from the United Nations, his loosing a war 12 years ago, and his continual billegerance after this loose. It took 5 years to mop up the world after WW2, why do we give this despot more than twice that amount of time and still keep giving him one last chance, one more one last chance, etc.? get with the program, Ramsey, you are a wacko! face it!

7. Authorizing, ordering and condoning assassinations, summary executions, murder, kidnappings, secret and other illegal detentions of individuals, torture and physical and psychological coercion of prisoners;

Name one! And when dealing with terrorists, just like pirates of olden days, or others that do NOT agree to the rules of civilization and the Geneva convention, one has to ack accordingly. But then, Mr Clark you know that but choose to leave that out of your "facts".

8. Authorizing, ordering and condoning violations of rights of individuals under the First, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth and Eight Amendments to the Constitution and of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, and other international protections of human rights;

Since you again seem to be referring to the prisoners at Guantonimo Bay, see answer to 7 above. Since your line items are redundant, so can my responses since you didn't really say anything new here.

9. Authorizing, directing and condoning bribery and coercion of individuals and governments to obtain his war ends;

Man, we are stretching here aren't we ... facts please.

10. Making, ordering and condoning false statements and propaganda and concealing information vital to public discussion and informed judgment to create a climate of fear and hatred and destroy opposition to his war goals.

So, are we now dealing with "abstracts" only when we choose to "impeach" ... sheech, can someone please translate #10 above to any legitimate or alledged factual claim or newsitem, no matter how left?

What is with Ramsey Clark? Why did he ever get any position of anything. Sheesh, what a wacko.

Ahh, the hypocrisy of the left. Has the stench of a skunk!

I commented on another board on this very issue. I ask again, where were these calls of impeachment against Clinton for his supposed "illegal" military actions? Does anyone remember these people calling for Clinton's impeachment when he sent Tomahawk cruise missiles into Iraq or when he sent our troops into Bosnia without U.N. approval? This is nothing but anti-Bush hatred and nothing more. These people (the originators of these sites and those who sign their stupid petitions) are delusional, blinded by their hatred of anything not on the left with them!

"15,463 signatures on the impeachment petition at Petition Online"

15K sigs isn't too much for an online petition. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that half are from overseas.
