Listening to Powell, was I the only one who got the sense that he basically told the UN that we don't really care what it does...it's almost like he said "you're already irrelevant....youi're just proving it live on TV in front of millions."
To: Darlin'
Well, I've been out all morning; how about giving me the Cliff Notes on what has happened.

Blix and Elbaradie say Saddam is trying, needs more time, implied Powell's veracity was suspicious. Powell says in pigs eye.

Iraqi trying to turn it into a religious war. Or imperialism by the US. Or mischief. Or something. Jeesh.

It was hard to tell, listening on radio, Powell's demeanor or underlying messages. Sometimes I couldn't decide if he was pleading or whining......!
Hope he looked strong on TV, like I said I had to leave and only caught it on radio. Liked what he said but I heard the French had APPLAUSE after their FM speech!!
sheesh (word of the day)

We have that info. The Russians, Saudis, Jordanians, Israelis and Iranians are well situated spywise within Iraq. That's Saddams fatal mistake ... he threatens everyone, everywhere. He's been doing it for 20 years. His activities are noted. Look, the Saudi and Jordanian royals don't stay alive by being out of the loop.
I have confidence that our target intelligence is of high reliability.

Powell looked extremely "strong" on TV. He was NOT reading like the rest, but spoke from the heart and looked like a General dressing down the UN.
To: juzcuz
"America not part of this world."Actually, once we turn them into a smoking crater, they won't be part of this world.

Yes. Pretty much. I'd like to know what he and SOD Rumsfeld shared.

It's called "Mission Compromised" and it's truly a great read. I highly recommend it.
