8000 phone calls yesterday equates to 333 per hour for 24 hours or 5.5 calls per minute. Possible?? Her staffer(s) probably won't work 24hrs, maybe 12 hrs... that means 8000 calls in 12 hrs: 666 calls per hour? That, together with your tag line, has me ROFLOL!
Thank you. I needed cheering up.

Sen. Hatch said that the same liberal lawyer who recommended that the Dem. Senate obstruct when President Bush was elected is there today to advise the Sen. Dems. That makes me sick. What a lousy group of underhanded, sniveling, fearful and anti-justice rats. I feel dirty just thinking about um-Reid, Schummer, Feinstein, especially Durbin, Byrd, Boxer, etc. What a group of nasty, ill humored, stunted children.
Sometimes I think the certain dems want to destroy our system of rules, to turn everyting upside down, in an attempt to creat chaos and confusion. How do the senators who stand for upholding our rule of law, who stand for justice and fairness bear even being in the same room with these little children, so inclined to temper tantrums and lies?

BTW they keep referencing Pres.Clinton, Boxer just did and all the other disGUSTS I have watched did.The Dims have surely been informed it is their duty to keep Klintoon's weenie foremost in everyone's mind. The ultimate opportunity arrived in the form of a filibuster with BOXER speaking about legal BRIEFS.

I agree with post #476. The Pubbies were crucified when the public thought they had shut the government down a few years ago.
The average American will conclude the 'Rats are holding up important matters in the Senate and that Estrada is well qualified to be on the Circuit Court. The Dems are being whiners as usual and the electorate will punish them again next election.
I love the smell of sweet revenge in the morning.

I assume the Reps are waiting untill the Dems are politically damaged by their obstruction. Actually, this won't work. The Dems don't have to have 41 seantors present to vote against cloture, the Repubs have to have 60 senators present to vote for cloture. If the Republicans can't get 60 votes, all the Dems have to do is keep one person on the floor to object to any unanimous consent request to limit debate. The rest can go home and get some sleep.
To: JackTom
I don't know the stats on Golisano in NYC, but don't put him out to pasture yet. I do not think he is a Democrat in his idealogy and think he would be an excellent Governor if he switched to the Repubs.
Guiliani MUST REMAIN the checkmate to Hillery.
Schumer is just about washed out I believe. Republicans in this state are starting to come out again and at least vote. Someone will emerge to take Schumer out.
To: CA Conservative
I see, three-fifths of the
entire membership, not just those present, is required for cloture.
So the Reps will have to let this run on until 9 Dems think they're being too damaged by the filibuster.

Seven LIVING present and former solicitor generals say they can't. IOW, only Democrats are interested in learning the truth about what Estrada wrote. BTW, the 7 SG's didn't say they CAN'T release the old memos, because they understand there is no ethical or legal prohibition against the WHITE HOUSE releasing them. Those old memos are the property of the WH, not Estrada.
Of course, what did the rule of law every mean to you.
You can't even identify any rule of law applicable here, let alone explain how the rule applies to Estrada's soon-to-fail nomination.

When the demonRATs were in charge last year, why didn't they ask for this information? Pure politics, that's why.
