Why do we abandon literature (and farm policy for that matter) to a bunch of liberal Luddites?
We don't, Mac. I and many other fiction writers espouse conservative points of view in our work. But the Powers that Be in the publishing industry show little welcome to them. Leftist ideas expressed in fiction are regarded as noncontroversial. Conservative ideas expressed in fiction are considered "unjustifiably polemic" and "dangerously controversial."
