That was my first reaction.... Who knows - maybe they are just testing this out. It will be interesting to see what kind of viewership they get. If he does well at that time slot, they might consider putting him in one of the more desired time slots. They want more viewership and they can't deny the fact of Savage's meteoric rise in popularity.
That's because they don't want him to be heard in any main time slot. However, I'm sure they are expecting some added advertising revenue from conservatives that hour!
When Savage was talking about going on the radio, I heard him asking people why Rush Limbaugh failed and Drudge failed.
He indicated that Rush and Drudge's style just didn't lend itself to TV, and he knew his would.
I wanted to call him and say that was not the case at all. The networks put Rush in a time zone that most people would never see. 12:00a.m.PT. Drudge walked out because he had no control over his program. He wanted to show a picture of a baby's hand reaching out of the cut open womb and holding the surgeon's hand as they were getting ready to operate on the fetus.
We will see if Michael Savage can last on TV.
I won't be viewing since I no longer have cable.
