I'm talking about Lautenberg's brain surgery near the start of the year, which followed a bump on the head while skiing. I never heard if he was back at work after that.
Thanks.
To: Mo1
Thanks much for the info on Lautenberg, I missed Hannity & Colmes last night.

A mutual Rat praisefest would make for great tv and campaign ads. I previously suggested FNC run a "Filibusting Estrada" pop-up box every so often, show the Rats and run text of what they are saying.
"I love you, Tommy."
"I love you, too, Patrick."

"Can anyone tell me, is Lautenberg out of the hospital and back at the Senate? I never heard any follow-up to his surgery and am wondering if he's available to vote on the filibuster. Thanks."
Alan Coombs interviewed him Mon. Seemed physically fine.

This from Fox News:
Republicans promised to keep senators in Washington, if necessary, into a 10-day vacation scheduled to begin Saturday if Democrats don't allow a final vote.

I like what he is saying about enforcing the law vs. enforcing politics. Thats how it should be!
To: GOPrincess
if Democrats are out to lunch during a cloture vote it doesn't matter, unless they are with us.
One person can keep a 'fillibuster' going and prevent cloture as long as the side that wants to invoke cloture can't get 60. Daschle only needs to prevent us from getting 60. If 2 dems (Kerry and Lautenberg) are gone, then Daschle only needs 39 on his side.
Byrd could be the only Dem on the other side out there, the cloture vote can go 59-1, and Byrd can keep right on talking.
To: Inspectorette
I thought Dashole made fun of people buying duct tape yesterday.
Little creep.
