Leahy's now stating that the administration didn't respond to his request for information. It took all of "WEEKS" to respond. What an arrogant boob. Now claiming the President could have responded in days. This from the head of the Judiciary under Daschle who is responsible for Mr. Estrada waiting over 600 days, 18 months.
Leahy blaming the President. What a maroon.

"Exactly! The nod of the approval from the Godfather Hillary! It is creepy to watch!"
It is not only creepy, it is sickening!
It is the direct result of controlling the money,
having an enabling press, and 900 FBI files.

I phoned Hatch's and Frist's offices and said that I appreciated their efforts to support the nomination of Miguel Estrada, and I was praying for their strength to continue.

To invoke cloture and kill this filibuster, we will need 60. I can assume that we will have all 51 republicans on board. Miller (GA), Nelson (NE), and Breaux (LA) make 54. Where do our other 6 votes come from?
To: Mo1
Any word on what Frist is going to require of the RATS?
I was on the staff of a GOP state senator in Texas during the 1980s. One particular Rat state senator had a reputation for filibustering near the end of the session. I learned the sure fire way of determining whether this dude was going to filibuster by looking to see whether a catheter bag was strapped to his leg.
Of course that was in the days prior to Depends. If it were me I would much rather do the catheter than a diaper. However, the RATs are probably comfortable using the diaper.

Even though the Bela Lugosi reference is obvious, BELLA means PRETTY...and she's definitely NOT. :-)

the RATs are probably comfortable using the diaper. Yes, because they're all "red diaper doper babies."

Now Layheee wants "REAL HEARINGS" what does he think is on that binder that Hatch keeps holding up!
Hatch back on.

If you'd like, please call the US Senators from Florida: Bill Nelson and Bob Graham.
I have called their office and urged them to support the Estrada nomination. Their staff has told me that the Senators have not made up their mind yet. We have a huge Hispanic population that can decide any statewide election.
You can use the following toll free number, ask the operator to talk to the Senator by name:
877-762-8762.

The Dems are really looking for a name so that they can use ther politics of personal destruction machine against that name, and make Estrada look bad for associating with that name. He should tell them, "Thurgood Marshall."

Pancho Villa would have a better chance than Estrada of being confirmed by the Democrats. Depends. What was his position on abortion?
