I hate to say it, but this recommendation from Ridge is as boneheaded as anything the Dim's could come up with.
He may as well have asked us all to go hide under the staircase. Sometimes no news is better than idiotic news.

Not being prepared is more "bonehead". Don't come knocking on my door to borrow a cup of "duct tape". ;)

It is extremely insulting, too. These ass-clowns want us to duct tape our windows and stock up on food and water, while Achmed can cross the border (with who-knows-what) with impunity.
I'm sorry, but while I realize what Rush has been saying about the Democrats capitalizing on the "next" attack and blaming Bush for it, he had more than a year to deport illegals and protect the borders. He is failing us.

No news is better than this news?
The threat is real whether you want to believe it or not.
Not all parts of the country have the same degree of threats of terrorism as does NYC and DC.
If something happened and you were not 'Warned', would you be one of the first to Shout: "When did they know and why didn't they warn us?"
It's not an alert to Panic..it is an alert to stay Aware should you live in certain areas. This "sense of awareness" will become second nature, I am afraid,as we learn to live in a terrorist world.

I hate to say it, but this recommendation from Ridge is as boneheaded as anything the Dim's could come up with. I agree. I've ranted here several times on what a dumbbell Fatso Tommy Ridge is. Every time he opens his stupid mouth, the DOW drops another 500 points!
Mr. Ridge, should I stand or sit when I pee? (/sarcasm)

I hate to say it, but this recommendation from Ridge is as boneheaded as anything the Dim's could come up with.Normally, I would agree with you. The entire concept of Obergruppenfuhrer Ridge and his Department of Love gives me the willies, though his color-coded charts are downright silly. Any warnings which are general enough to be shotgunned nationwide lack any useful specificity and are completely worthless, and sound more like CYA than useful intelligence.
In this case, however, the "duct tape and plastic" remark has a tinge of practicality for people in certain locations. If I lived east (downwind) of New York City or Washington, DC, duct tape and plastic might provide effective protection in the event of airborne fallout from a "dirty" bomb. That and some rain. But I doubt that folks in Bumfart, Mississippi should be overly concerned.

dumbed-down americans are now in charge...if we seal windows, doors and vents with duct tape and plastic sheets we will suffocate ourselves...what a way to live...god bless america...

There are survivors and there are victims. If you do nothing you may envy those that did something.

I will report that Lowes in Burbank CA has duct tape, but is almost out of clear plastic sheeting (2, 4 or 6mm)...you can still get 200 feet rolls of clear, or dark sheeting of all sizes. Funny to see 10 different people asking where the duct tape was. The Frys battery section is getting low too.
