[history]
No sooner had I walked backstage at Madison Square Garden yesterday when I was brushed aside by a beautifully groomed, purebred bitch who possessed the manners of a mongrel.
She was a dog owner.
"A- -hole!" the high-strung biped ranted, just loud enough to drive a sensitive cocker spaniel to the kibble.

I thought Tig was a Whippet congrads on your post. Do they sleep with you?
To: xzins
You are a tough crowd. LOL
I have a neighbor back home who breeds and shows beagles. She's said that the WDS is nothing but politics. Would never go to it. And she's had dogs that qualified for it.
If you ever catch Animal Planet's show "Breed All About It", on Beagles she is featured with one of her dogs.

Yes, he's spoiled, he sleeps with me. Devo does too when I watch him.
It has been good the past month since its been cold. He's a living, breathing hot water bottle.

Your whippet is a nice dog.
I've got a fox terrier, an aussie, and a yorkie. (Sounds like a Jay Leno joke: What does an aussie say to a foxy lady from yorkshire?)

Here is mine:
Working dog, Helps me teach fire safety at the local schools, (stop, drop and roll, crawl low in smoke etc.)
He is also a trained arson dog (hits on hydrocarbons and accelerants) Funny to watch him check out the gas tanks on cars - LOL!

The best Boston terrier (and almost as good-lookin as the Dread Boston Salty):

Interesting breed mix.
So, who's alpha in that group?

"Someone walking a dog in a circle doesn't fit my criteria for sport." I remember watching Westminster several years ago. A rather 'large' woman was running her dog for the judge (remember -on camera, front and center, national live television). Whump! Flat on her face (the woman, not the dog).
We laughed probably for about 20 minutes straight. The kind of laughs where you will stop laughing and have a straight face only to break out in hysterical laughter about 15 seconds later.
Oh, was that funny!
Yes, there is ~some~ athletic skill required for Dog Showing.

How about the year in the finals that Lad took a dump right in the middle of the ring?

Our Jack Russell sleeps under the covers with us at night (between my wife and I). The Pomeranian sleeps on my wife's pillow, and the Rottweiller sleeps at her feet. Is this abnormal?

"How about the year in the finals that Lad took a dump right in the middle of the ring?" Terrel Owens?

The Yorkie.
They really are terriers and the other 2 are females. The aussie's an outside dog.

The "two left feet" bit was good. I've found some people think the film was hilarious and some don't get the humor at all. I thought it was a very good sendup of documentaries in general and based on this article, very close to the truth of what the dog show is all about.
