Of course Iraq would never accept such a plan. What's the difference between having your country taken over by thousands of blue helmets and having it taken by the US? Either way, Saddam goes down. The Germench alliance just doesn't get it.
Honestly I think Old Europe would get on board the disarmament train if we gave them some assurance that their oil contracts and deals will be honored somehow by the future dictator of Iraq.
