OMG........I've never heard the N-word version either and I'm 41 years old. I'm sick and tired of hearing this stupid hyper-sensitve CRAP!! I sincerely hope this will get thrown out and never make it to trial.

Oh, I've heard it - from my mom (I'm 38). She lived in Mississippi in the mid 50's so maybe that's where she got it. I don't have any idea if it's the "original" version of the rhyme and the two who filed the lawsuit are just pulling the latest version of the Tawana Brawley scam.

I'm 38 and the "Tiger" version still sounds weird because I had grown-up on the offensive version. I don't even recite the thing because when I think of it in my mind, I use "nigger" instead of tiger. So make no mistake, it's certainly offensive.

"Nigger" is the only way my father refers to black people...That's just how it was when he was a kid. And because he's a bigot, it's the way it is NOW, to him. I don't use it, and any kids I'm around don't use it, but it will take at least one more generation before it's not something that seems "Normal" to many people. At least in my part of the country (Red Neck Center of the Universe...Indiana).

That being said, this law-suite is a joke and an abuse of our court system. But, Southwest should be smarter than this...They should see something like this coming.

We used the N-word version all of the time when I was a kid (I haven't heard the thing for many years, and have never heard it with the word "tiger" substituted)...and I'm in my mid-30s.

Having said that, two points:

1) By what crazy version of tort law can you sue someone for something that someone says? Even worse, since when can you sue someone because something that they said makes you think of something else that offends you that they didn't even say????

2) Why is this story national news? A couple of black women are offended by something someone says...and it makes Fox??

Actually, I want the lawyer for the sisters to pay all court expenses after the case gets thrown out.

I am over 40 years old, and it wasn't until a few years ago I found out about the 'N' version. It was always 'Tiger, when I was a youth.
